Set in a primordial cypress swamp and filled with the wildlife of Texas and Louisiana, Crusade is a classic tale of good versus evil. In the movies, it always seems like the good guys are outnumbered and outgunned. Our heroic heron certainly seems in dire straits here surrounded by the Gator and his army of snakes. Dragonflies swirl to his aid, but what use are they against the predators? There’s always hope though, and the daylight filtering through reminds us that our hero could always just fly away.
