Craig Pineau | Carnevale: Instant Exposure 2

Large format Polaroid | 1996

Artist Bio: American fashion photographer Craig Pineau took poster-sized photographs of revelers at Venice's Carnival in 1996 with a special Polaroid camera that is among the largest in the world. Pineau worked indoors, away from the carnival buzz, which lessened the festival atmosphere.

Artist Statement: We think these works in the oversized format of the Polaroid really reflect the reality, richness, and fantasy of the costumes.
