Curtis Bayer | Ate the Small Fly
Assemblage found items | 2016
As an avid fly fisherman, I’ve collected discarded items streamside over the years and turned them into art. This piece uses a door panel from Deep Creek, CA, a carpenters ruler from Crystal River, CO, old dynamite box shard from a mine shaft in the Eastern Sierra, sea glass from the Oregon Coast, vintage word dice, and a plasma cut trout.
All pieces are one of a kind and have graced the walls of Congressional offices, collectors, and fly fisherman across the United States.
