Gayle Faucette Wisbon | A Glimpse of Pecos
Acrylics on gallery wrap stretched canvas | 2020
Inside the walls of the church ruins at Pecos National Historical Park is a small doorway. It leads out to a small walled area where the views are so beautiful. The walls were built in 1717 and it's amazing how large the original church was.
This is a larger version of the painting I did for the 2020 Twitter Art Exhibit. This is painted on gallery wrap canvas and measures 12 x 9 x 1.5 inches. The edges are painted a solid color, using the same colors from the painting. I'm working on five other paintings inspired by Pecos.
